Instructions for CUPA Students who are applying for a School of Record Transcript through Spelman College
Some students who are applying for the CUPA program will find that their home institution requires a "School of Record Transcript" from an accredited, degree-granting institution in the United States in order to transfer credits from Paris toward their degree. For this reason, CUPA has established a relationship with Spelman College, which will issue transcripts for those students.
Conditions:
• Deadlines: the student must apply for a School of Record Transcript by June 30 for Fall/Year abroad, and December 1st for Spring semester. No exceptions can be allowed.
• The student must be enrolled in a full courseload with CUPA, 4 courses per semester.
• Each course taken with CUPA in Paris will be worth 4 credits.
• The student is responsible for checking both with Spelman college and with his/her home institution concerning credit eligibility for any exceptional coursework, such as: independent study, internships, student teaching, art studios, etc.
• The student agrees to pay a fee of $350 for this service, to be sent to CUPA with the application form.
• Spelman College will not process financial aid for School of Record students, but will sign a consortium agreement, if necessary, so that aid can be transferred.
Procedures:
1. Students must complete a CUPA/Spelman College School of Record Transcript Application Form, and return it to CUPA, along with a check for $350.00, made payable to CUPA (which is forwarded to Spelman College - CUPA retains no fee for this service).
2. Students must have the responsible party at their college complete a Home School Nomination Form indicating that the home institution will agree to accept the credit on the Spelman transcript.
3. Students must sign the Spelman Release and Waiver form.
4. Students must complete the Home University contact information form.
5. Please complete and send all materials mentioned above to CUPA:
